Abstract:
The Interim Operational Plan, or IOP, for water delivieries to Everglades National Park (ENP) is the most recent in a long series of water management plans designed to provide water supply to the park. The specific purpose of this operational plan, however, is to create more favorable hydrologic conditions within ENP for the protection of the endangered Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow and its designated critical habitat. Control and manipulation of water deliveries to ENP have been practiced for approximately four decades. ( English )
