The aim of this study is to investigate the role of ecosystem services in sustainingpeople’s livelihoods. This may help to understand which wetland functions need to bemaintained to provide the required wetland ecosystem services. The results of this studymay also be useful for raising awareness on the need for wise use of wetlands amongthe different stakeholders as well as under ecosystem managers and policy makers
