Abstract:
Orisha beads with Carlos Leon, an ishona beadworker. Carlos Leon has been working as an ishona since 1968. Leon was ordained a priest of Obatala in Cuba in 1967. Since his ordination, Leon had exposure to his craft, but had only produced beadwork for his persona/religious use. ( en )
